Pat Thomson and Craig Wattam have called Kapiti home their entire lives, and for over three decades they’ve helped local families create kitchens they truly love.
In 2020, their sons Jake and Cooper joined the business, making Kitchen Creators a proud second-generation family company. Having grown up around the trade and the local community, they share the same dedication to craftsmanship and customer care, while bringing fresh energy and modern ideas to the team.
Today, Kitchen Creators combines decades of experience with strong family values and a deep connection to the Kapiti community — continuing to create kitchens people love while giving back to the region that has supported them for over 35 years.

Our kitchen design consultants are the people who help your vision come to life.
They love to discuss layouts, colours, finishes and the latest in technology and appliances, helping to create a kitchen that looks great and suits your lifestyle. Then they work closely with our detailing team to ensure the plan works on a practical level too.
Detailing Team
The detail team is responsible for making your newly designed kitchen a reality!
Geno, Todd & Craig, along with Factory Manager Craig Martin (inset), ensure all the measurements are correct (measure twice, cut once!) and that everything discussed with the designer will function as it should and work well for many years to come. Together with our kitchen designers, they pride themselves on being professional and approachable and seamlessly design, plan and implement your dream kitchen.
Kitchen manufacture & installation teams
The manufacturing team of loyal staff love working at Kitchen Creators. Excellence in workmanship is their aim and many of the staff have been at Kitchen Creators most of their working lives. Whether it be custom-made kitchens, bathroom or laundry renovations, or remodelling your wardrobe or cabinetry, they will make all your joinery onsite at the Kapiti Rd premises.
Installers
Shane, Cooper, Dale & Josh, along with co-owner, Pat Thomson, are qualified joiners who aim to get your kitchen expertly installed as quickly as possible so you can get on with cooking in your new kitchen! They do an outstanding job every time and pride themselves on being the best team of installers in the area.
